Cocktail Cherry Tree

This work titled Cocktail Cherry Tree was created in 2005 and was a work that shows Foote’s growing interest in social spaces like bars. In this work Foote creates a stylized tree that is covered in seductive resin cherries, within each cherry Foote inserts a different small photo printed on transparency of social scenes from boutique bars of people engaging with each other, using the white martini glass viewers would cup the cherries within the glass to make the image appear, looking side on the cherry would act like a lens and flip the entire room upside down and distort the viewers perspective.
