Foote’s immersive food art events became a melting pot or techniques and ideas which gave rise to both R L Foote Design Studio and Chocolates By Ryan L Foote, two businesses that feed back into Foote’s art practise.
Chocolate has been one of the culinary ingredients that Foote loves to play with. Its materiality and sculptural properties were perfect for his immersive food art events.
In early 2015, Foote set out to re-invent the classic chocolate bon bon with all his creative skills, playing with new technologies and looking at things from a different perspective, leading to the establishment of Chocolates by Ryan L Foote which is based in Hong Kong and fuses state-of-the-art 3D printing technologies with age-old chocolatier techniques to create amazing fractal, geometric and organic forms that are almost miniature forms of edible art.
